The service
Raconteur is operated by Treducks Tech. It lets you keep a private index of places and plan trips around them. You need an account to use it, and accounts are created by signing in with a supported identity provider.
Your content
You own what you put in. We claim no rights over your trips, notes, or lists beyond what is needed to operate the service for you. If you make a list public, you are choosing to publish it — anyone with the link can see it until you turn sharing off.
Places themselves live in a shared catalog: when you save a restaurant, the underlying record may be shared with other users who saved the same one. Your notes, status, and lists about that place remain yours alone, and are removed when you delete your account.
Delegated access
You may grant another person access to act on your account. You remain responsible for what they do with it, and the content stays yours. Either party can end the arrangement at any time; access is revoked immediately.
Subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before they end. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
AI-generated content
Descriptions, summaries, and recommendations may be generated by an AI model. They can be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters — opening hours, addresses, whether a restaurant still exists — before relying on it.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attack the system — including scraping, automated abuse of the AI features, or attempting to reach other users’ data. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
